There is a right
and wrong way to become one flesh in the word of God. This study seeks to
clarify what the right and wrong way is. Be blessed as you read and
understand.
THE RIGHT WAY TO
BECOME ONE FLESH (BIBLICAL MARRIAGE)
First the following is based on
the precept that God has outlined in the Torah. TTGM will make a comment and
then we will give the scriptural foundation to support my statement.
The word states that a man should
leave his parents and take a wife and the two shall be one flesh (marriage)
(Gen 2:24 [KJV])
Therefore shall a man leave his
father and his mother, and shall cleave unto his wife: *and they shall be
one flesh*.
To start the process to become one
flesh, obviously there must be an agreement between the two parties. After
the agreement is made there is a purchase price paid (or gifts given) by
the man/family to the wife/family. Why? The Bible is based on the Kingdom
and how it should work (the laws/commandments must be followed). Finally
after the agreement, the betrothal period starts until the marriage has
been consummated (becoming one flesh = sex). Note: During the betrothal
period the couple is referred to as husband and wife (Joseph was called a
husband during the betrothal period). YOU SAY: I hear you on the purchase, but
there is no need to pay for a woman (wife) today. Our answer: What the world
practices today is pagan/heathen. Even now, if you give your life to Yeshua
and to show your love, you decide to keep His commandments (Torah), you are
then “redeemed” (purchased), and the transaction is done by His precious
Blood (not dollars). When you call
Him Lord (Yeshua), the meaning of the word (Lord) is owner (this is why
Sarah called Abraham “lord”; she too was calling him owner. Why? Abraham
purchased her.
The Agreement (THIS AGREEMENT IS BASED ON A LIFE LONG
COMMITMENT):
(Gen 24:50-51 [KJV])
Then Laban and Bethuel
answered and said, The thing proceedeth
from the LORD: we cannot speak unto thee bad or good. 51 Behold, Rebekah is
before thee, take her, and go, and let her be thy master's son's wife, as
the LORD hath spoken.
Payment - Gifts are given and in other chapters a bride
price is given (more on this about the kingdom coming soon):
(Gen 24:53 [KJV])
And the servant brought forth jewels of silver, and jewels of gold, and
raiment, and gave them to Rebekah: he gave also to her brother and to her
mother precious things.
Then we have the consummation - sex
(You will note that there is no priest/pastor/state involved in marriage).
(Gen 24:67 [KJV])
And Isaac brought her into his mother Sarah's tent, and took (they became
one flesh) Rebekah, and she became his wife (no
priest); and he loved her: and Isaac was comforted after his mother's
death.
IMPORTANT: In God’s Kingdom, when a man goes
into a woman and becomes one flesh, that man is expected to take care of
that woman for the rest of his life. Also, if a man has a wife and he goes
into a second woman, he must also take care of her in the same way as the
first (He will now have two wives) –

THE WRONG WAY TO
BECOME ONE FLESH
If you and your partner agree to
come together without a lifelong commitment, it is the wrong way to become
one flesh in the Kingdom of God.
It is important to note that you
can become one flesh with a harlot (a woman that gives herself to several
men without a commitment). You will notice that Paul links this joining to
a harlot with God’s foundation for marriage as found in Genesis 2:24.
(1Cor
6:16 [KJV]) – Paul writes.
What? know ye not that he which is joined to an
harlot is one body? *for two, saith he, shall be
one flesh*.
When you become one flesh without commitment, God calls you a fornicator
which also carries the same meaning as a whore or whoremonger. FORNICATION
DOES NOT MEAN SEX BEFORE MARRIAGE AS THE CHURCH TELLS ITS CONGREGANTS.
In scripture fornication means whore/whoredom.
Fornication = Whore = H2181 זָנָה zanah (zaw-naw') v. (same
Hebrew word used)

In conclusion, the right way to
become one flesh is to have a lifelong commitment and a payment is required
for the wife (if she is under authority/ownership). The wrong way to become one flesh is to
have sexual relations without a lifelong commitment; this is called
fornication/whoredom. Also, for a
man to have sex with a woman that is already one flesh (married) to another
man this is called adultery (this is wrong too - this is what Absalom did in
2 Sam 16:22).

BECOMING MARRIED
UNDER THE ROMAN CATHOLIC LAW (INVOLVING PRIEST AND TWO WITNESSES) 1563

today’s world started under the penalty of severe punishment in the year
