TRUTH OF THE GOSPEL MINISTRY

COMMENTARY

ON

EXPLAINING THE GOSPEL OF THE KINGDOM OF GOD

Part 1 | 2 | 3 | 4

(Matt 4:23 [KJV])
And Jesus went about all Galilee, teaching in their synagogues, and preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and healing all manner of sickness and all manner of disease among the people.

TTGM will explain the gospel message from the early books in the Old Testament to later books of the New Testament. At the end of this document, you would hopefully understand the reason for the coming of Christ, His New Covenant, and why He died for our sins.

TTGM will begin with the basics so that you know where God’s word is coming from with regard to the Gospel. This message is so important (knowledge for our eternal life) that for absolute clarity, key points will be repeated. We will use the WORD to support what we say by stating “it is written”.

We Begin…

ENTER SIN
When man/woman disobeyed God’s word they sinned and we are told that the wages of sin is death (Rom 6:23). It is written.
(Gen 2:17 [KJV])
But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it: for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die (death).

Eve and then Adam ate the forbidden fruit (they sinned), then spiritual and physical death came to all mankind.

The temptation. It is written.
(Gen 3:4 [KJV])
And the serpent said unto the woman, Ye shall not surely die:

The Sin. It is written.
(Gen 3:6 [KJV])
And when the woman saw that the tree was good for food, and that it was pleasant to the eyes, and a tree to be desired to make one wise, she took of the fruit thereof, and did eat, and gave also unto her husband with her; and he did eat.

FORGIVENESS OF SIN
To save man from death (salvation), God provided His commandments and the use of animal blood to facilitate the forgiveness of our sins – should we transgress any of the commandments/law (the Old Covenant used the blood of animals). So when we love God and keep His commandments, He will have mercy on us. It is written.
(Exod 20:6 [KJV])
And shewing mercy unto thousands of them that love me (God), and keep my commandments (God’s Word contains His commandments).

Animals were killed and their blood was used as an offering for our sins. It is written.
(Lev 16:15 [KJV])
Then shall he kill the goat of the sin offering, that is for the people (us), and bring his blood within the vail, and do with that blood as he did with the blood of the bullock, and sprinkle it upon the mercy seat, and before the mercy seat:

—  —^—  —
THE PROBLEM:
The blood of animals was not good enough to offer for our sins, so God in His plan of love decided to send His only Son (Yeshua/Jesus). He died for our sins with His shed blood (the New Covenant used the PERFECT blood of our King/Yeshua). It is written.
(1Cor 15:3 [KJV])
For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures;

Now that the true and perfect Lamb of God had died for our sins we MUST OBEY HIM TO GAIN SALVATION. So what did He say? HE GAVE US THE SAME INSTRUCTION THAT HE GAVE US IN Exod 20:6. It is written.
(John 14:15 [KJV])
If ye love me (Yeshua/God/Jesus), keep my commandments (God’s word contains His commandments).

Summary:
There are four requirements for the New Covenant (agreement).

1. Signature by both parties – God wrote the ten commandments in His hand, and Moses wrote the rest in his hand. It is written.
(Exod 31:18 [KJV]) – God’s signature.
And he gave unto Moses, when he had made an end of communing with him upon mount Sinai, two tables of testimony, tables of stone, written with the finger of God.

(Deut 31:9 [KJV]) – Man’s signature.
And Moses wrote this law, and delivered it unto the priests the sons of Levi, which bare the ark of the covenant of the LORD, and unto all the elders of Israel.

2. The requirements of the covenant that are written down are called commandments/instructions/Torah/law. So to keep the New Covenant we must keep the commandments (same with the Old Covenant). The commandments must be kept perfectly, any transgression of them is sin. This law (commandments) is perfect. It is written.
(Ps 19:7 [KJV])
The law (Torah) of the LORD is perfect, converting the soul: the testimony of the LORD is sure, making wise the simple.

3. Due to the fallen state of man (we are conceived in sin Ps 51:5 ), he cannot keep God’s commandments perfectly. God then made a perfect provision to take the place on behalf of man. This provision is Yeshua’s blood, which was offered up for our sins. So when we are in Yeshua (Jesus) we become perfect (note, perfection does not come by selling all that you have, it comes by placing Yeshua first in your life). It is written.
(Matt 19:21 [KJV])
Jesus said unto him, If thou wilt be PERFECT, go and sell that thou hast, and give to the poor, and thou shalt have treasure in heaven: and come and follow (love/know/believe in/trust) me.

4. To help the believer succeed God gave us His Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit’s job is to dwell in His temple (our body was purchased with Yeshua’s blood and we are no longer our own, our body is now His temple 1Cor 6:19); He comforts, teaches, brings things to our remembrance, convicts us of our sin and finally, He will raise us from the dead back to life. We must keep His commandments after repentance. If we do not keep His commandments, Yeshua will not ask (pray) the Father to give us the Holy Spirit (comforter). It is written.
(John 14:15-16 [KJV])
If ye love me, keep my commandments. 16 And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter (Holy Spirit), that he may abide with you for ever;

So with the perfect law (the commandments are contained in the law) and the perfect sacrifice (Yeshua/Jesus), we are able to live a saved life. Should we fall short and transgress any of God’s commandments, grace steps in, and we are forgiven. When we die the Holy Spirit will raise us onto glory into God’s Kingdom. As long as we receive God’s spirit, He will be with us forever.

Note: Salvation does not come by keeping the commandments, salvation only comes by our faith in Yeshua. Again, keeping the commandments does not save, it only reflects our love for our King.  If we love our King we will live in obedience to His every word/commandment/law/Torah – His word in both the Old and New Testament.

RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN THE OLD AND NEW COVENANT:
Old Covenant = the perfect Commandments of the Torah should be kept = the imperfect blood of animals offered over and over again for the forgiveness of sin (should we transgress the commandments) = the believer is under the law = man has to visit a physical temple.

New Covenant
= the perfect Commandments of the Torah should be kept = the perfect blood of the Lamb (sinless Yeshua/Jesus) offered once for the forgiveness of sin (should we transgress the commandments) = the Holy Spirit (Comforter/Teacher/Power to raise the believer from the dead) given to enable the believer success in salvation = the believer is under grace (gift) = the body of the saint becomes the temple.

THE REQUIREMENTS FOR SALVATION:
In the New Testament (NT) Yeshua gave us the instruction to keep His commandments. What commandments is He asking us to keep? The modern church does not teach that Yeshua usually quoted from the Old Testament (OT). When He said to us to keep His commandments, He was quoting from here, it is written in the OT.
(Exod 20:6 [KJV])
And shewing mercy unto thousands of them that love me, and keep my commandments.

Here is His spoken word in the NT. It is written.
(John 14:15 [KJV])
If ye love me, keep my commandments.

Here are other examples that show how Yeshua quoted from the OT.

So when we believe in Yeshua, we are to do what He said. The church teaches you only need to believe and they go no further. The question is, how can you believe in a person and ignore His instructions? It is like saying you believe in medication, but when you take it you ignore the instructions on the bottle. This makes no sense. When we believe, we should seek to understand and follow His every word – follow His instructions/commandments.

HIS COMMANDMENTS THAT WE ARE TO FOLLOW ARE FOUND IN THE TORAH – GO STUDY

—  —^—  —
HOW TO APPLY YOUR LOVE TO YESHUA:
You will notice that Yeshua did not say to love Him with candles, a moonlight walk, an evening dinner, a glass of wine, sing a song, jump, skip and dance, HE SAID TO KEEP HIS COMMANDMENTS. Love is demonstrated in obedience to His commandments. If we say we love (know) Him and DO NOT KEEP HIS commandments, God calls us liars. It is written.
(1John 2:4 [KJV])
He that saith, I know (love) him, and keepeth not his commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him.

NOW, how are we the children of God to love each other, how are we at TTGM to love you? It is written.
(1John 5:2 [KJV])
By this we know that we love the children of God (each other), when we love God, and keep his commandments.

Happy is the man whose wife keeps the commandments of God towards him.

Happy is the woman whose husband keeps the commandments of God towards her.

Happy are parents whose children keep the commandments of God towards them.

Happy is God when men, women, boys, and girls keep the commandments of God towards Him, for He will give them the comforter (Holy Spirit) that they will gain the gift of eternal life. It is written.
(John 14:15-16 [KJV])
If ye love me, keep my commandments. 16 And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter (Holy Spirit), that he may abide with you for ever;

Question: Do you think that God will give us His Holy Spirit (comforter) if we do not keep the commandments? Read the Many and the Few – see the end of the page.

THE COMMANDMENTS THAT WE ARE TO FOLLOW ARE WRITTEN IN THE OLD TESTAMENT; ALSO CALLED THE TORAH. IN THE NEW TESTAMENT YESHUA REVEALED HOW THE COMMANDMENTS SHOULD BE APPLIED – TO OUR HEARTS. WHY? SIN STARTS FROM OUR HEART. YESHUA ALSO GAVE ADDITIONAL INSTRUCTIONS IN THE NEW TESTAMENT THAT EXPRESS THE FULLNESS OF HIS LOVE. WHY? GOD IS LOVE.

SUMMARY:
God requires perfection to enter into His Kingdom. Man cannot be perfect in himself and hope to gain eternal life, this is why He needs to love/follow/have faith/know/believe in Yeshua. Believers can only become perfect with their faith placed in Yeshua. And to love Yeshua is to live in obedience to His every word – keeping His commandments.

The true saints of God are described as keepers of the commandments. It is written.
(Rev 14:12 [KJV])
Here is the patience of the saints: here are they that keep the commandments of God (obedience), and the faith of Jesus (perfection comes to us by His Spirit that the Father gives).

Do you keep the commandments of the Torah, will you start? Do you truly love Him?
